Our story began in Kent, where SunGod Solar Ltd started as a small solar PV business helping homes and businesses generate energy in a smarter, cleaner way.

After subcontracting for us for several years, Jonny Howes became Managing Director and helped expand SGS Energy beyond solar.

Jonny’s brother, Matt Howes, joined SGS Energy as Sales Director and Co-Owner, shaping the company into the family-owned business it is today.

SGS Energy opened a showroom where customers can see how solar, battery storage, air source heat pumps and EV charging work together, then speak to the team about the best setup for their property.

SGS Energy became B Corp certified, recognising our commitment to growing the business in a way that supports our customers, our team, the local community and the environment.

SGS Energy now brings advice, design, installation and servicing together under one roof, giving customers a clear, practical way to plan and deliver the right renewable energy system for their property.
